WE LOVE SEEING YOU AT THE POLLS!
"IT TAKES A LOT MORE THAN PHOTO-OPS AND SOCIALIZING WITH CITY EMPLOYEES TO MAKE A GOOD MAYOR... VICKIE CONKLIN IS READY TO ROLL UP HER SLEEVES AND DO WHAT IT TAKES!"
Vickie is the only candidate for mayor of Titusville with actual experience being a mayor. She led a fast growing city, Wentzville MO, for 4 terms as mayor, 2 terms as alderman, and served on the Parks and Recreation Board prior to being elected. Under her leadership, the city established strategic goals and objectives, planned ahead for growth by ensuring adequate water resources and wastewater treatment expansions. She facilitated financing to allow the city to build a badly needed Law Enforcement center and widen an overpass 4 years ahead of the state’s schedule. Vickie worked diligently to attract business and industry to support the tax base and add local jobs, including negotiating with the CEO of General Motors at the Detroit office to retain the Assembly Center and thus retain 2800 good paying jobs.
Vickie was honored to receive a national American Hometown Leadership Award from the WalMart Foundation that garnered a monetary grant to the city. Local newspapers endorsed Vickie as the best candidate for mayor in her elections, describing her as a “facilitator, listener, consensus builder” and that “she seeks public comments.”
She knows the value of working together to create better solutions of problems. Vickie has identified issues Titusville is facing and is confident her experiences and dedication will benefit the city and its residents.

IMPORTANT ISSUES FOR TITUSVILLE
VICKIE IS COMMITTED TO ALL OF OUR POLICE AND FIRST RESPONDERS...
I would like to unequivocally reiterate my full support for Titusville police, and in fact, all law enforcement. In my prior role as mayor, I enjoyed an excellent partnership and relationship with our Chief of Police, as well as members of the law enforcement community. My intent will be to have an equally strong bond with Chief Lau and our own police department should I be fortunate enough to be elected your mayor.
My desire, as is the desire of countless residents, is that our Police Department continue to focus on their foremost responsibility- the safety of all our residents and businesses in our community.
